Schottenhamel Beer Hall

Here the Oktoberfest is festively opened each year by the Mayor of Munich with the legendary words "O'zapft is" while tapping the first barrel of beer. But that is not the only tradition of the tent which includes 6,000 indoor seats: The members of the Munich student fraternities have their regulars‘ tables here. That is why the Schottenhamel Festival Hall, in addition to the Schützen and Hacker festival tent, is also a tent for the young and young at heart Oktoberfest guests. The mood is accordingly exuberant.
